Content Description
Abstract:
It is Waukesha County's intent to leverage existing tax parcel
information, existing County data sets and existing municipal data sets to
develop a complete database for site addresses for the County. The project
will be divided into two phases. Phase I consists of the development and
population of the address database using numerous databases obtained from
various vendors and municipalities. Phase II consists of the creation and
deployment of a web-based maintenance tool.
Purpose:
The goal of the project is to establish a database of all site addresses
for Waukesha County. The site addresses will be linked to the tax parcel
mapping to provide a mapped location of the addresses.
Supplemental Information:
The database of site addresses will also provide a list of master street
names. This master list will be verified using information located in the
local government address databases and via field verification. The master
street name list may also be used to verify that newly proposed street
names have not already been assigned and that newly adopted steet names
conform to any street naming conventions.

Access and Usage Information
Access Constraints: None
Usage Constraints:
The site addressing project is not intended to support geocoding or other
proportioning to locate addresses. It is intended, however, to support on
address placement that locates site addresses exactly with the tax parcel
mapping. For other use constraints, contact Don Dittmar at the Waukesha
County Land Information Office.
